
Our Clinical facilities are spread over a 6000 sq.ft-area,
with air-conditioning and round the clock security. Synchronized
clocks are provided throughout the facility. Volunteer Registration and Screening Area:
Counseling Room: Counseling room for volunteers where the informed
consent process effected.
Registration Area: Capture and recording of biometrics of the volunteer through
a validated registration software. (As of Aug 09, MTR has an active volunteer database
of 4100 with about 1500+ post-menopausal women volunteers)
Examination Room: Facilities provided for physician examination and recording ECG.
Screening Room:
Room for collection of blood samples from volunteers for screening and for collection of ambulatory blood samples.
Pharmacy Room: Secure storage of investigational products in controlled environmental conditions with restricted access, also used for preparing unit dosage forms for a specific study. It has Humidity chamber, refrigerator (with 24x7 online temperature & humidity monitoring) and stainless steel tables for dispensing.
Volunteer Check-in Area:
Locker Room: The lockers comprise of 2 portions, one to accommodate footwear and the other for personal belongings like mobile phone, books, bag. A separate key is provided with every locker and the keys are returned when the participants check out. Frisking of study participants is also done here.
Changing Room (Volunteers):
Room where study participants change into uniforms provided.
Changing Room (Staff): Exclusive area with lockers to enable staff to conveniently change footwear and lab coats before entering the clinic.
Volunteer Housing Area:
Housing Area: Access controlled area accommodating two clinics, with
140 beds, and basic amenities, including an emergency nurse calling system connected to all beds and toilets. Emergency exits are provided in both clinics.
Lounge: Recreation area for study participants, with television, CD player, music system, newspapers, magazines and indoor games like chess and carom.
Dining Area: Spacious dining hall, with segregated facilities for different studies.
Sampling Area: Clutter-free sampling area consisting of 6 phlebotomy stations for drawing of blood samples from study participants.
Sample Processing: For separation of plasma/serum from blood samples, there are two refrigerated centrifuges.
Sample Storage: Two ultra low temperature freezers (-80◦C) and one interim deep freezer (-20◦C) provided with 24x7 online temperature monitoring and equipped with emergency back up systems.
ICU: MTR has its own, dedicated ICU, equipped with defibrillator, vital monitor, pulseoximeter, suction apparatus, nebuliser, oxygen cylinder and crash cart with all emergency drugs.
Safety: Both the clinics have separate emergency exits. The entire facility has smoke detectors, fire alarms, strategically placed fire extinguishers, exit signs, emergency route maps and wide swing doors for easy exit.
Security: Round the clock security is provided.
